City Offices Closed Memorial Day, City to Host Service

Centerville City Offices will be closed Monday, May 28 in commemoration of Memorial Day.  Waste collection will be delayed one day throughout the week.  The annual Memorial Day ceremony is at 9:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in Stubbs Park,  255 W. Spring Valley Road.  In case of rain, the event will move to the Centerville Police Department, 155 W. Spring Valley Road.  Click here for the press release.

 
Farmers Market runs May 17 through October 25

The Centerville Farmers Market will be held every Thursday from May 17 through October 25. The market sets up in the parking lot of the Centerville Shopping Center located at 892 S. Main Street (just north of the intersection of State Route 48 & Spring Valley Road). Hours are normally 2:30 - 6:30 pm. Art Gallery Features Alison Bour in May, Reception 5/18

The Centerville Arts Commission is pleased to host "Break the Mold", a photography and artwork exhibit by Alison Bour in the Art Gallery at the Centerville Police Department for May. The Police Headquarters are located at 155 W. Spring Valley Road in Centerville. The Centerville Arts Commission will host a reception on Friday, May 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Art Gallery at the Police Department to introduce the collection to the community. Alison Bour will be present to meet the public, and light refreshments will be served.

Volunteers Recognized for Service

Municipal volunteers were honored in April at the City’s annual Volunteer Salute held at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace. The event recognizes the more than 300 volunteers working in Centerville municipal offices and as members of council-appointed boards and commissions including the Storm Water Drainage Task Force, Board of Architectural Review, Board of Tax Appeals, Arts Commission, Property Review Commission, City Township Relations Committee, City Beautiful Commission, Planning Commission, CRA Housing Committee, Personnel Appeals Board, Sister City Committee, Friends of Benham's Grove Board and Centerville City School District Personnel Appeals Board.
